In an opening weekend where key players were warming benches in the Premier League, an absolutely calamitous admin error by Team Avec, saw Harry Kane warming our own bench, as he went on to put 2 past Aston Villa in a 3-1 victory for Tottenham Hotspur.
Our Manager for the week is already under pressure for accidentally selecting Giroud ahead of Kane, especially with Chelsea going to Old Trafford to play Manchester United.
While over at the London Stadium, Raheem Sterling was a hat-trick hero against West Ham, with quite a few teams carrying the Manchester City forward amongst their starting XI.
A Solid backline of Digne, Van Dijk and Lewis Dunk saw only 1 goal conceded amongst the three, with the latter two players helping themselves to a goal each, and Dunk also with an assist.
Team Avec's midfield failed to produce a points haul, leaving Captain Firmino to double up on points with his goal for Liverpool against newly-promoted Norwich City.
Some serious changes to be considered going into week 2, whether that is our squad or the team manager remains to be seen.
