Take on Team Avec | Fantasy Football - Week 2

With matchday two round of fixtures completed, the Team Avec Manager was handed a lifeline thanks to the performance of both Merseyside teams, with Lucas Digne providing the assist in a 1-0 victory over Watford and Team Avec Captain Firmino bagging a goal in the 71st minute in a 2-1 win over Southampton to secure double points. 

Otherwise the threat of using the wildcard in just week three looms as the remaining players picked up their appearance points in a low scoring week total of 46 points. 

With only Everton and Sheffield United the only teams to keep a clean sheet this weekend across the Premier League, points had to come from assists and goal scorers.

Top performer Raheem Sterling is certainly the man teams need to ensure they can accommodate if they want to pick up points, but doing so proves tricky with a hefty transfer fee of £12m. 

VAR proved more controversial this weekend, with many managers probably cursing the Video Ref overruling decisions and goals.

Will VAR improve the game, or will it take away all the talking points from the game and trying to make the game two perfect. 

For now, the Team Avec survives another week, but week three could prove a tough week to get through, with a lot of catch up to do so early on in the season.
